America was built by immigrants. People who came to this country in search of a better life. They left poverty, tyrants, prosecution, and any number of ills the world has inflicted on humanity. America was and still is the greatest bastion of freedom and opportunity on Earth.
But that may cease to be the case if the disease of entitlement and identity politics continues to spread.
Immigrants used to come here willing to work as hard as they could to build a better life. Now we have people coming here who want handouts. Handouts from government and now handouts from our Universities.
Our immigrant ancestors worked to assimilate and be seen and treated as Americans like everyone else. Now we have immigrants who demand to be treated differently because they are immigrants. How ironic. Our ancestors must be rolling in their graves.
The level of self-embraced victimhood has reached appalling levels since the election of Donald Trump. The main stream thought police continues to fan race and identity politics to convince minorities and other disadvantaged peoples that they are victims. Victims in need of government protection.
To steal from Henry Ford: “If you think you can do it, or you think you can’t do it, You are right.” If you embrace being a victim then you are a victim. There is no other country on Earth with as much opportunity as the United States. Different people have different opportunities but no one has no opportunity.
So for all the children crying about how unfair everything is by disrupting people’s lives as they take exams or commute to and from work: grow up and get to work, we can’t carry you forever.
